Product Introduction
L-Theanine is an amino acid (a building block for proteins) derived from tea leaves.L-theanine was discovered as a constituent of green tea in 1949 and was approved in Japan in 1964 for unlimited use in all foods, including chocolates, soft drinks, and herb teas, except infant foods. It also provides a unique umami (brothy or savory) taste and flavor to green tea infusion.
L-Theanine has been widely used in medicine and supplement products on the market for treating anxiety and high blood pressure, for preventing Alzheimer’s disease, and for making cancer drugs more effective.
Effects/Benefits/Uses
L-theanine may help relieve stress by inducing a relaxing effect without drowsiness and may also possess immunologic attributes.
L-theanine may also be used to Preventing dementia including Alzheimer's disease and to treat high blood pressure
L-Theanine may also have effects on the cardiovascular system and play a preventative role in cancer; however, limited clinical information is available to support these claims.
Side Effects and Dosage
L-theanine as a amino acid in natural plants was considered to be safe.How ever there are a few side effects reported so far like headache, dizziness, and GI symptoms.. The recommended dosage of L-Theanine is 200-250mg per day.
